Bethany United Methodist Church Foundation
Leave a Legacy That Spreads God’s Love!
The Bethany UMC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation created in 1993 by visionary Bethany members to assure a lasting trust to support the ministries of Bethany UMC. The Foundation encourages, establishes and manages permanent funds received from gifts and memorials, as well as from planned giving through estate plans, trusts, and bequests.
All contributions remain in the permanent fund(s) and only the income earned from your contribution is distributed, according to the terms of the general or specific fund. Thus, a contribution to the Foundation is a gift that never stops giving--providing for future generations in assisting the church’s mission of feeding its disciples, scholarships, and outreach ministries.
The Foundation Board of Directors is made up of nine Bethany members who serve as trusted stewards of the permanent fund, and are elected by the Church Conference.
There are several ways you can contribute to the Bethany Foundation
You can do this as part of our normal church offering, as Gifts and Memorials, or Online Giving in honor or in memory of loved ones, or in celebration of events (indicate Foundation or specific fund).
One of the other very significant ways one can contribute to support our endowments is to designate the Foundation as part of your will or other planned giving.
Provide for your loved ones and spread God’s love to others for generations—through a legacy gift to one of the following Foundation Funds:
- The Unrestricted Fund
Is used for outreach and mission projects, ministry projects of the larger United Methodist Church and educational scholarships and grants. - The Lee and Maxine M. Grote Philanthropy Fund
