Prayer Opportunities

Bethany has a wonderful prayer ministry which provides many opportunities for you to learn more about prayer, participate in a prayer group, or pray alone where ever you are. We invite you to join us in providing a foundation of prayer as you deepen your relationship with God.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Combines knitting/crocheting with praying for others! Meet to knit/crochet shawls for folks experiencing difficult times, such as illness or life crisis. Come to enjoy fellowship and prayer as we work. Or contribute by making shawls and praying at home. Finished shawls are blessed by the group and then given to those in need of God's grace.
Just show up ready to knit or crochet. You don't have to pray out loud! If you don't know how to knit/crochet, come anyway! We can teach and yarn has been donated!
Alpha Prayer
Receive prayer requests from staff & team to pray for all participating in Alpha, praying at home - or pray with the team at Bethany on Tuesday evenings.

Many of these prayer opportunities have started because someone had an idea or a "nudge" from God. Is there some type or subject of prayer you are interested in that you do not see listed here? Or are you interested in an expansion of one of the groups (an evening intercessory team, for example)? Contact us with ideas or suggestions!

Pray from home or work for timely concerns by joining a Bethany Google email group to send and receive prayer requests. This group has two purposes: to mobilize a large group of people to quickly pray for NON-confidential requests and to give a forum for others to share NON-confidential prayer needs. Requests to pray may come in only once a week or several a day. All you need is email and a willingness to lift others before God when a request comes to you!
