Why this matters:
These trainings are not just about earning a badge. They are opportunities to bring hope, healing, and practical help — to learn how to safely clean out flooded homes, tarp damaged roofs, and stand with those who have lost so much, offering comfort and care in Christ’s name. The Mission of the Rio Texas Early Response team is to provide a caring Christian presence in the aftermath of disaster.
Flood survivors need more than supplies — they need compassionate, prepared helpers who can be trusted with their homes and their hope. This is how we carry one another’s burdens. This is how we show the love of Christ when it matters most.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
Let us continue to lift our neighbors in prayer, trusting that even in the midst of devastation, God’s light shines through the love, generosity, and courage of God’s people. Together, may we be a sign of hope and healing for every community affected.
