Why Tattoos Tell Our Stories

For thousands of years, people have used tattoos as a powerful artistic expression of:

• Personality and life experiences
• Faith and spiritual journey
• Group membership and status symbols
• Personal healing and adjuncts to reconstructive surgery

Over 39 million people live in North America and roughly one in seven have tattoos. Every mark of ink represents a deeply personal narrative. We are immensely grateful to these wonderful individuals who have made themselves vulnerable to share their journeys with us.
