Explore your latent music talents playing your instrument and singing in a group as well as developing basic jamming skills. Most jamming groups expect significant music experience and ability – this class is not that! We will start by getting familiar with our instruments playing chords and melodies, and with singing basic popular songs, and slowly experimenting with basic improvisation. Bring your instrument, voice, and desire to learn. Our objective is to learn and practice enough to be able to enjoy and share your talents and to have fun!
Sessions will include:
- Learning a little music theory
- Developing your instrument skills
- Playing songs and singing
- Exploring basic improvisation
What you need:
- A musical instrument that you own, can borrow, or rent
- Ability to come to class 6-7 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month
- Enough practice time to keep up with the class
