Austin’s colony) to 1903 when the Congress created the National Guard. From 1903 to the present the museum tells the story of the Texas Army and Air National Guard, as well as the Texas State Guard, in both peacetime and wartime.
*NOTE: All Adults ages 18 and up will need to show a photo ID such as a US Department of War military ID or military retiree/dependent issued ID card, a US Govt. issued ID card or a state issued driver’s license, or state-issued ID, etc. to enter Camp Mabry. At this time a passport or foreign military ID card does not allow access to Camp Mabry even in the company of a valid ID card holder.
