Cindy Powell is honored to serve as the Director of House of Friends at Bethany United Methodist Church. Cindy is an experienced educator and program director with more than 15 years of experience in education, youth development, technology integration, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences, fostering strong relationships, and building programs that positively impact students, families, and communities.
Her commitment to serving individuals living with dementia and their caregivers is deeply personal. Cindy walked alongside her own father during his journey with Lewy body dementia, giving her firsthand insight into both the challenges families face and the importance of compassionate respite and support. She is also certified in dementia care through the Alzheimer's Association (essentiALZ® Dementia Care Certification), equipping her with specialized knowledge to serve participants and caregivers with excellence.
Cindy is excited to continue the caring legacy of House of Friends by creating a place where participants are engaged with dignity, caregivers find encouragement and respite, and every family experiences the love and grace of Christ.
