Thanksgiving Meals

Our annual churchwide outreach to bring Thanksgiving meals to families in need who have students in local schools.

Donating a Meal Bag

Please turn in your filled bags and/or funds by Sun, Nov 17

How it works:

• Volunteers pick up a cloth bag at the church w/ a grocery list attached
• Purchase the items on the attached list
• Return the bag along with a check for $35* by Nov 17. Bring to the Worship Center on Sunday mornings or the Student Ministries offices Monday - Thursday

* The $35 will be used to purchase a fully cooked frozen turkey, dinner rolls, and a pie for each family. 

For those who are unable to do the shopping, you can donate $70 and we will do the shopping.

Deliver Meals

Pick-up Meals for Delivery:
Sunday, Nov 24, 2024
Noon - 1:00 PM
Covered Drive-up in main parking lot - we will be set up as a drive-thru

Meal Delivery: 1:00 - 3:00 PM

We will be delivering over 200 bags. If you can deliver 5-6 meals we would greatly appreciate it!  Our goal is to get everything delivered between 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Other Ways to Help

PHONE CALLS: The week before we deliver, we need people to call the recipients to remind them that we will be coming on Sunday and to have someone available to accept the food.  We especially need Spanish speakers to help make calls!

GROCERY SHOPPERS: We need a couple of people who can grocery shop during week before delivery.

PICKUP TRUCKS: We need help getting the turkeys, pies and rolls from HEB @ 9:00 AM on Sun, Nov 24

CAR LOADERS: On Sunday, November 24 from 11:30-1:00, we need people to help load the groceries into the cars that will be delivering.
