Engagement Initiatives Project Manager

Job Summary:

Bethany UMC seeks a highly organized leader to coordinate new and improved ministry programs focused on our vision to engage with God, each other, our neighbors, and needs. This role will work closely with Pastoral and lay leadership to launch programs, coordinate resources, and recruit and lead volunteers.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple high-priority projects through paid staff and volunteers. This position must be able to quickly assess priorities, identify needs and recruit and delegate duties. The successful candidate will have a servant heart and the versatility to simultaneously support multiple projects for separate ministries.

While this position is envisioned as full-time, if the ideal candidate is only available part-time, the job could be adjusted to part-time

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development of new or improved programs from vision to launch
  • Effectively communicate tasking, deadlines and status with Pastors, staff, and volunteer ministry teams
  • Share the passion for new initiatives and identify, recruit and manage volunteers
  • Coordinate seasonal worship logistics for Christmas, Easter, Advent and Lent
  • Help steward mission opportunities, including our benevolence program
  • Organize key church leadership meetings and align with engagement goals
