Resurrection Power: Easter Continued...

Christians are Easter people, living in the joy and power that was revealed in Christ’s resurrection. Easter is meant to be real for us. Join us this spring as we keep the Easter celebration going. On Easter Sunday we heard the resurrection story from the Gospel of Mark’s perspective. In April, we’ll read from the other Biblical accounts.

APR 6 & 7

Easter According to John
The Gospel of John tells the Easter story as part of a larger message: Jesus came to give us abundant life. Abundant life is for all, including those who feel left behind, confused, or doubtful in the walk of faith. Come hear the story about Thomas and how Christ came to meet him even though he missed the resurrection all together. During our 11:15am contemporary service, we will witness a group of young people being confirmed in the faith and welcome them into the life of our church.
APR 13 & 14

Easter According to Luke
In his gospel, Luke focuses on Easter as incredible news for the least, the last, and the lost. He focuses his message on Jesus coming to bring hope to the hopeless. Come hear what Easter means for those who are close to giving up.
APR 20 & 21

Easter According to Matthew
The Good News of Easter spread with the faithful disciples spilling their hope and joy to those around them. God had kept his promises! Now it was time for Jesus’ followers to teach and baptize others into the faith. Join us as we consider how we can keep the faith going and pass on what we have been given.
APR 27 & 28 Easter According to Paul  (Rev. Ray Altman preaching)
The Apostle Paul was not one of Jesus’ original disciples. In fact, he started out as an enemy! Paul had a life-changing experience meeting the risen Christ on the road, though, and had to tell everyone about it. In his telling of the Easter story, Paul stresses that God gives us a fresh start and makes us into new creations. At the Sunday services, we will hear from Rev. Ray Altman who has been preaching and teaching this message of conversion as he leads the building of new micro-communities of faith in the Cedar Park area.
MAY 04 & 05 Abiding in Easter
In the Gospel of John, we learn that Christ calls us to abide in him. We will consider what that command means as we celebrate Bethany School and the joy of living in community with our little ones.
Coming Up:
  • MAY 11 & 12 - Mother's Day Weekend
  • MAY 18 & 19 - Pentecost Weekend (Rev. Karen Horan preaching)
