OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Bethany Preschool we believe in using a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that focuses on the growth of the whole child, including nurturing their personal awareness and love of God. We use an engaging curriculum created specifically for our preschool that incorporates our play-based philosophy with the standards of early education of the Texas Education Association and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
A typical classroom at Bethany Preschool is a happy, busy place full of children exploring the world around them through play. Teachers guide children by asking questions and fostering the development of the habits that lead to life-long learning. A child is not simply stacking blocks in the block center. Among many skills in this seemingly simple task, they are testing their own knowledge and skills by sorting, counting, discovering cause and effect, problem solving, expanding their vocabulary, strengthening their motor skills, increasing their attention span, developing their self-esteem, and working cooperatively.
Bethany Preschool graduates leave our program confident and prepared for not only the social, emotional, and academic requirements of Kindergarten but also as innovative thinkers that are curious about the world around them.
