We believe that serving is tangible way to show God's love to others. Students have the opportunity to serve in a variety of local mission projects throughout the year, and can participate as members of mission teams serving outside of the Austin area each summer.

President's Volunteer Service Award
Bethany is a certifying organization for The President’s Volunteer Service Award, the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. The award recognizes United States citizens who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period.
The required hours are as follows:
Teens ages 11-15: Bronze - 50 hours, Silver - 75 hours, Gold - 100 hours
Young Adults ages 16-25: Bronze - 100 hours, Silver: 175 hours, Gold - 250 hours
Bethany's 12-month period will run from May 1 through April 31 and the awards will be presented at the Annual Stockholder Celebration in August. We will certify hours done with the church and hours served elsewhere in the community. For hours to count toward the award, youth must get a signature from the volunteer coordinator where they volunteer. Please use the attached form for signatures. If a youth turns 16 within the 12-month period, they will be considered a young adult.
This award is a tremendous honor and sets you apart from your peers. It also looks awesome on college resumes!
The following are Bethany events for which youth can earn volunteer hours and the number of hours that have been predetermined for each event.
