*Please note: all children enrolled in this program must be completely potty trained.

Art Smart

This is an 8 week program offered 3 times per year on Tuesdays for children in the 3 & 4 year classes.  The class extends the day until 2:00 PM.  The sessions begin with creative movement to loosen up for learning.  Children learn about famous artists and try some of their techniques in Creative Art and Art Skills.

Spanish

This is an 8 week program offered 3 times per year on Wednesdays for children in the 3 & 4 year old classes.  The class extends the day until 2:00 PM.  Basic Spanish is reviewed each week and built upon during the year.  There will also be activities that extend Spanish vocabulary.

Lunch Bunch*

This is a 6 week program offered 3 times per year on Thursdays for children in the 2½, 3 & 4 year old classes.  The class extends the day until 2:00 PM.  The children bring their own lunch to eat, play, read a book and have an activity.

Curriculum

Bethany School uses a well rounded, research based curriculum focusing on the whole child.  Using the Texas Infant, Toddler and Three-Year-Old Early Learning Guideline, the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and the NAEYC’s Developmentally Appropriate Practice as our blueprint, Bethany teachers create intentional lessons and learning experiences for each student we teach. Bethany teachers know the strong academic value of purposeful play and structure the environment to enrich learning through age appropriate play and toys.  Bethany has also adopted Handwriting Without Tears in the Prekindergarten class, but gross and fine motor skills are built beginning in our infant class to support the development of this program.
