Student Missions & Service

We believe that serving is tangible way to show God's love to others.  Students have the opportunity to serve in a variety of local mission projects throughout the year, and can participate as members of mission teams serving outside of the Austin area each summer.

2018-2019 Projects

Backpack Food Ministry

Bethany UMC provides for children who do not have consistent access to food on weekends. We provide food each Friday during the school year to Purple Sage Elementary school. We will gather the food, sort it, pack it in grocery bags, and take it to the school on Fridays for distribution.

World Vision Global 6K for Water

Youth at Bethany participate in World Vision Global 6K for Water to bring life-changing clean water and fullness of life to children in communities around the world.
Ways to donate until the end of May:  Text UMC6K to 484848 or write check to Bethany UMC and put Global 6k in the memo line.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Student Ministries will offer Thanksgiving Baskets to 100 families this year.
