Rio Texas Scholarship page

The Rio Texas  Annual Conference Higher Education Team administers two scholarship programs. These scholarships are merit awards and will be given annually by the Conference Higher Education Team. High-school seniors through college seniors are eligible to be nominated for these programs. One, in the amount of $500-1,000, is offered by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) for a student attending any recognized United Methodist-related institution. The other, ranging from $500-3,000, is offered by the Craven-Wilson Fund for students attending Texas Wesleyan University. The GBHEM Scholarship is based on a rebate resulting from the Annual Conference’s response to the United Methodist Student Day Offering. The Craven-Wilson Scholarships is based on interest accrued yearly.

Deadlines:  Conference forms must be submitted to Teresa Kingsbury by February 22nd.
