Ministry Description:
Students raise funds to help buy food and sustainability for Matete, Kenya. At the end of the fundraising period, students meet for an overnight lock-in where they fast, learn about the causes and effects of hunger, and participate in local mission projects. At the end of the 30 hour fast, students participate in communion and a meal.

Types of Volunteers Needed:
High School students to raise funds. Adults who chaperone overnight. Adults who drive to and participate in local mission projects during the famine event. Volunteers to cook for, serve and clean up after the “break the Famine” meal. Volunteer to keep track of funds earned and who earned them.
