Letter to Parents

Bethany School

Dear Parent,

On behalf of Bethany United Methodist Church, welcome to Bethany School! Our congregation and staff believe that children are a gift from God and we strive to provide a special place for them in the church. Just as Jesus welcomed and blessed children, we seek to do the same: “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.” (Mark 10:14) Providing a welcoming place for families and young children is one of the most significant ways that we as a congregation act out our love for God and one another.

Bethany United Methodist Church offers worship services at 5:00 PM on Saturdays and 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 AM on Sundays. Nursery care is available for all worship services. We also offer Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 and 11:00 on Sundays. We use curriculum in all children’s classes on Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00, beginning at birth. The youngest children learn through music and interacting with the caregivers in every aspect of their morning. As the children get older, they learn Bible stories and do crafts, play games and sing songs. It is our goal to provide even the youngest children with an opportunity to experience and learn about God’s love.

If you are looking for a church home, please come and explore the many opportunities that are available to you and your family through worship, Sunday School, and many other children’s and adult ministry activities. I pray that you will be blessed by God and this community of faith.

Grace and Peace,
Rev. Jessica Petersen
