at Vacation Bible School!
564 camper children and 269 camp counselors (120 youth and 145 adults) went exploring at Camp E.D.G.E. here at Bethany June 15th - 19th. Camp E.D.G.E. - Explore and Discover God Everywhere taught kids to discover the importance of being all they can be for Jesus and to develop 5 E.D.G.E. Pledges that they can practice for a lifetime.
1226 people attended Thursday evening’s two Worship Celebrations of prayer, VBS songs, and puppet dialogue. Children brought a record breaking 4233 items for mission outreach for Hill Country Community Ministries. Your generous monetary gifts of $1727 purchased 395 items for Texas Baptist Children’s Home and Bethany Foster families. For the Waco Methodist children’s home we were able to sponsor 5 children for a year’s worth of activities and mission trips. Almost $500 worth of school supplies will be purchased for VBS Brownsville (Good Neighbor Settlement Home). 50 Bags of Grace were assembled for Church under the Bridge.
Bethany is contributing our VBS curriculum and staff support consisting of 35+ youth and adults to the Good Neighbor Settlement House and El Buen Pastor UMC in Brownsville July 5 - 11.
